On November 24, 2001, a group of the world's leading researchers, with the support of the National Science Foundation and NASA, will begin a two month expedition to the frozen desert of Antarctica in search of clues to the origins of the solar system, the planets, and possibly life on Mars.
For the first time in its 25 years of existence the US Antarctic Search for Meteorites team has the ability to interact with the outside world via satellite phone. This website will be the hub though which field party members will update the world on their daily progress; in addition, you are invited to send comments or questions to the field team through this site.
