The Italian Job | NYK Logistics Team 8

Our goal is to participate in this annual Mini tour to raise money for the National Children's Hospital. We hope to raise over Ł 10,000 for NCH in a truly fun way – by driving our very own Mini across Europe! Use this site to follow along with the drivers, Michael and Paul Wren, as they post a MiniBlog from the road and track them via the dynamic map.

About Team 8
Team leader Paul Wren (54) recently retired from a career with the North Yorkshire Police on 23rd October. Since 1992, he has taken part in "The Italian Job" 8 times, so perhaps Team 9 would have been more appropriate for this ninth entry! This year he has enticed his elder brother Michael to join him and looks forward to discovery first hand what Paul has talked about for the last twelve years. Michael, a Freeman of the City of London, runs his own print and design company in London's East End and is a keen cyclist. As we would expect of an elder statesman of the City of London, he is also a keen wine consumer and looks forward to the odd wee detour en route to sample the local produce (when not taking his turn at driving of course!).

Together this intrepid pair intend to enter into the spirit of the event totally and truly have fun raising money. We wish them well and look forward to following their geographical progress on the map and together with their regular journal updates on their experiences on the road to Italy and back!
