Panar Laban Slab
Approach: Walk up easy slabs above Panar Laban Huts to reach base of massive blank face.
Panar Laban Slab Direct Route   600m, E3 6a
This climb ascends the greatest height of slabby walls L of Panar Laban. There are NO chock or piton placements available and friend placements are limited. The first ascent party used skyhooks weighted by bunches of friends to protect the lead and multiple skyhooks backed up by small bushes for belays! The easier upper section has long run-outs requiring two 50m ropes tied together to reach a stance. Hmmmmm…sounds like fun, eh?!
Descent: Climb up to meet the tourist path and follow fixed line easily down the trail to Laban Rata.
